Luncheon Club

This very successful Club has been going for over 35 years, offering a hot nourishing lunch and social activities for anyone over the age of 65 and living alone in Thurgoland and nearby villages. The charge is £4 and if you wish to come along you should ring Margery Denton on 0114 288366 first.

In addition to the weekly meals the club organizes trips out to the coast and other events.

The Club would also welcome any more volunteer helpers. If you contact Margery you would be put on a rota for 1 session per month. No previous experience is necessary as you would be given help and training.

This is a wonderful Club providing a warm and friendly welcome. Many of the guests have been coming along for many years and they look forward to meeting old friends.
